Hello there to all the bearded, beanie-wearing gentlemen. The “beanie”, according to the most reliable of websites -urbandictionary.com- is “woollen and it is worn by skaters and pople who are cold.” Great spelling by the way. Basically what this intelligent individual was attempting to articulate was that the “beanie” is a small, close-fitting hat worn on the back of the head. You can fold the bottom up a bit so that it sits just on the back of your head without have any sagging fabric at the bottom, or you can wear it in the traditional manner which includes the extra fabric hanging (or sometimes sticking up). Many men tend to wear these hats in neutral colors; however, I have seen bright orange or yellow beanies every once in a while! The beanie is a staple accessory in a man’s wardrobe, not just for its style but also for its functionality as a winter item, so gents, if you don’t already have one, I would consider buying one! And grow a nice beard while you’re at it, would you?
